Step into the role of Head of Finance and build a finance team that delivers accuracy, accountability, and impact across the business.
The Finance function at Fast Track is evolving to support a growing, multi-entity SaaS business operating across several jurisdictions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the finance function of the company runs with precision, discipline, and transparency. You will own the financial close process, group consolidation, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the organisation while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with IFRS.
You will also work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to support financial planning, liquidity management, and operational decision-making. Alongside this, you will lead and develop the accounting and credit management teams, ensuring the function scales effectively as the business grows.

Your responsibilities as a Head of Finance at Fast Track would include:
Delivery of Accounting Period Close
Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process across all group entities
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
Take over and enforce the finance manual and ensure every process, reconciliation, and control is followed to the letter
Establish and maintain a close calendar with clear deadlines, task ownership, and quality checkpoints
Continuously improve close timelines and reporting quality through process standardisation and automation
Step in directly to unblock issues, resolve discrepancies, or meet deadlines when required
Group Consolidation
Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the group
Ensure intercompany transactions, eliminations, and currency translations are handled accurately and on time
Coordinate with local accountants and external advisors to ensure local statutory accounts align with group reporting
Support the CFO in delivering consolidated reporting packs for the board and external stakeholders
External Audit Coordination
Act as the primary operational point of contact for external auditors across the annual audit cycle
Prepare and coordinate audit deliverables, ensuring documentation and supporting schedules are complete and timely
Manage audit queries and information requests, engaging relevant team members and external advisors as needed
Oversee statutory audit processes for local entities across jurisdictions
Coordinate tax filings and compliance activities in partnership with external advisors
Master Data Accountability and Governance
Establish and enforce standards for financial master data across all Fast Track systems
Own the integrity of the chart of accounts, cost centres, customer and supplier records, and financial dimensions
Drive data quality standards to ensure consistent, reliable financial reporting and analytics
Ensure finance systems, tooling, and integrations are fit for purpose and scale with the business
Cash Planning and Liquidity Management
Own short and medium-term cash flow forecasting, ensuring clear visibility of runway and liquidity position
Monitor actuals versus forecast and provide clear variance analysis with actionable recommendations
Escalate risks and recommend mitigating actions to protect liquidity and support operational continuity
Oversee the credit control and collections function, setting targets and governance for collections performance
Support escalation of complex or high-risk payment issues and drive tooling improvements to increase collection efficiency
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting and credit management teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and performance
Own recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for all roles within the finance function
Set and monitor team and individual targets, ensuring accountability for financial deadlines and data accuracy
Build team capability and succession planning as the function grows
Financial Planning Support
Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles in collaboration with the CFO and Financial Controller
Develop and monitor key SaaS and operating metrics, providing insightful variance analysis and strategic recommendations
Partner with department heads to support budget ownership and drive accountability for spending
Strategic Business Partnering
Act as the primary finance partner to senior leaders across the organisation on operational finance matters
Translate financial data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance decision-makers
Provide financial analysis and modelling for strategic initiatives, investment cases, and pricing decisions as needed
Step in for the CFO on operational finance topics in the CFO’s absence, with the exception of investor relations
Emerging Technology, Automation, and AI
Drive continuous improvement and automation across financial systems and processes
Actively explore and implement AI-assisted solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and speed across the finance function
Job requirements
Extensive experience with a senior finance leadership role with direct responsibility for financial close, consolidation, and reporting
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and multi-entity group consolidation across multiple jurisdictions
Proven people management track record: must be comfortable owning team delivery, performance management, and accountability
Demonstrable experience in a high-growth, subscription-based (SaaS) business model
ERP experience (QuickBooks is a plus)
Tech-savvy: comfortable with modern financial technology and proactive about automation, leveraging emerging tech and AI adoption in finance workflows
Operationally rigorous: sets high standards, follows through, and holds the team accountable
High commercial and emotional intelligence
Clear, confident communicator who simplifies complex financial data for non-finance leaders
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
