We’re growing our Data team - and we’re hiring a Data Scientist to join the journey!

Fast Track is excited to welcome a new Data Scientist to its Data Science team, dedicated to working exclusively with one of our key clients. This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and hands-on data science with a direct business impact.

In this role, you'll go beyond developing machine learning models - you'll dive deep into the client’s data, extract actionable insights, and work collaboratively to identify the most effective opportunities for growth. Whether it’s suggesting a new predictive model or recommending a simple data-driven fix, your work will shape decision-making and accelerate performance.

You’ll be at the forefront of innovation in iGaming CRM, contributing to the Singularity Project, our vision for real-time, one-to-one engagement. This role offers the best of both worlds: working deeply with a client on high-impact initiatives, while staying connected to our pioneering Data Science team and infrastructure.

As a Data Scientist at Fast Track, you will be focused on:

Business Insight and Strategic Analysis

• Act as a trusted data science advisor, working closely with the client to deeply understand their business goals and challenges.

• Identify impactful opportunities using data-driven analysis and hypothesis testing, ranging from model development to simpler but high-leverage improvements.

• Lead exploratory data analysis to uncover key behavioural patterns and customer insights.

• Translate findings into clear, prioritised recommendations with measurable outcomes.

Experimentation and Hypothesis Testing:

• Design and run experiments to validate ideas, improve engagement strategies, and drive business performance.

• Collaborate on launching new features or initiatives based on insights and test outcomes.

• Provide ongoing reporting and performance tracking to refine and optimise initiatives.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Communicate complex results in accessible, non-technical language for both client stakeholders and internal teams.

• Work closely with our central Data Science team to advise on and adapt models, brainstorm new approaches, and ensure consistency with Fast Track’s broader machine learning frameworks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional experts to create actionable roadmaps and iterate on strategies.

Technical Expertise:

• Support the full data science lifecycle: from data gathering and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring.

• Develop and document models, workflows, and experiments with reproducibility and clarity.

• Share learnings and innovations with both the client and internally at Fast Track.

• Degree in a quantitative field (E.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong background in data science, statistics, and machine learning.

• Proficiency in Python for Data Science (e.g., Tensorflow, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).

• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data aggregation and transformation.

• Familiarity with Spark.

• Experience with AWS or other cloud services.

• Self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude who works well within a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to draw business conclusions from data and communicate them effectively.

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders or clients.

• A pragmatic, impact-first approach, able to balance sophisticated models with simple, high-value changes.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

• Team player, bringing energy and positivity to our awesome team!

Considered a plus:

• Experience in iGaming or consumer engagement environments

• Experience with ClickHouse, reinforcement learning and git.

• Prior experience in the igaming industry.
